Take time for yourself

My mother asked me why my sister decided to go to her room last night and if she was angry.

After being on vacation for almost 2 weeks, I’ve come to value and truly appreciate the release taking time for one-self provides. I went out of town, postponed whatever needed to be done, and truly gave myself the time, and am still giving myself the time, needed to let go and release what is no longer serving me. I haven’t been answering any phone calls or text messages and if I had to, at a bare minimal. Took time to do the things that I wanted to do and with whom. I read books, finished projects, spend some quality time with the family, got to know a little better a beautiful ray of sunshine that just entered our lives named Lina.

It’s important to cater to your wants, likes and desires because it’s by being your own best friend, lover and companion that you truly get to know who you are. By doing the things we love doing, the way we love doing them, aids us in reconnecting with ourselves. When we are reconnected with ourselves we have a clearer unbiased view of the person we truly are, we want to be and that provides us with a clearer unbiased view of the next steps on the beautiful and mysterious journey we have set forth on. In addition, the responsibility of our happiness is nobodies but our own. It is the key factor on taking back your personal power. Take the responsibility of your happiness in your hands and no none will be able to take it away from you. We have the right to be and feel happy at all times regardless of our environment and/or circumstances. Living in the present moment gives us that bliss happiness provides and is a great trick to come back to. The beauty and miracles the present moment provides us is incredible, take a moment right now, to feel, smell, see, sense everything this moment can provide. Try and see its essence.

Taking time for yourself also helps release any old lingering energies that only weights us down. This is where the beauty of death comes into play, if you let it. Death is not a scary thing, it gives room for new and more exiting ones.

If you feel like just being alone, do it. If you feel like you want a vacation, take it, even if it is simply in your backyard. Even if it sparks up thoughts and questions in your outside world, so be it. It is nobodies business. But of course, kiss your mother’s forehead to ease any worries, they mean well Xox

Release all that no longer serves you

As some of you know I’ve been on vacation since Wednesday. And since then I’ve been taking it upon myself to try and release all stress, worries, feelings and thoughts that simply just don’t serve me anymore. By that i mean any kind of fears and gossip that might creep up. For to many years I’ve been focusing on and been surrounded by negativity. I didn’t realize how harmful and draining it was until I couldn’t recognize myself anymore. I would react in ways that was in total opposite of who I was and made it worse by guilt tripping myself for doing so instead of having compassion. Last year I made a decision to take back control of my mind by making healthier decisions by monitoring the quality of thoughts I let my mind process and the quality of individuals I give my time to. And have been blessed ever since.

This trip has been a treat because its been putting my practice to the ultimate test.
It’s easy to create or get caught up in our or our fellow travellers dramas on vacation because there are just so much things that are out of our control during this time. And it could bring a sense of uncomfortableness. Talking about it feels good but it also feeds it with the false idea that external circumstances control who we are.
And our responses and/or reactions are great allies in clueing us towards who we truly want to be.

So what are some of the things I’ve been doing? : 1-Paying attention to what I’m about to say. If there is nothing constructive don’t say anything at all. 2-Simply not participate. 3-Try and direct the conversations towards more positive ones. Or focus on the positive aspects of the convos. 4- Have fun. When nothing else works Have fun, if you are going to be negative Have fun while your doing it and laugh it off. Laugher IS Deft the best medicine ❤

After a while your example starts rubbing off on others and that’s the most satisfying feeling of them all.

Life is too short to focus on things that no longer serve us. Switch your focus around every chance you get and see the magic unfold. Have a beautiful week you Incredible Souls

“It too shall pass”

I’ve been getting much questions on the action of letting go. Think of it this way, letting go is the path of least resistance. Letting go is dissociating with feelings of pain, anxiety, fears and any feelings that create a set back or pause on our personal growth and or well being. Feelings don’t define who we are, they are merely tools on our path to self discovery. Towards what we truly desire and towards the kind of people we truly are. It’s simply a question of remembering. How do we remember? By reprogramming how our mind now operates This is the essence of the blog this week.

Reprogramming is essential on our path to self-discovery because it helps break down the foundations of fear established early in our childhood. How do we know what we want, when we are so focused on what we don’t want. Can we even tell the difference between feelings of fear and those of love at this point? We know how and what we do not want looks and feels like. What about what we Do want? Pause right now and take 30 sec to see how long it will take to think and feel of something you Do want or makes you happy. I’m sure for most of you, I know in my experiences, it took some time and it felt hard. Reprogramming is in essence reeducating your brain to think towards that which makes your Being sing. Whether we like it or not we are more then our material bodies, we are souls on a mission and our emotions guide us towards it and I guarantee you they will let you know when you have come out of alignment with your true self. Emotions are like the yes and no’s of what you want.

How to start reprogramming? Start by catching yourself in self-sabotaging thoughts. These are usually thoughts that weight you down such as;

“I’ll never get this done”,

“This always happens to me”,

“Whats wrong with me”,

“I’m not good enough”…

This is the funnest part. We are so comfortable with our misery that it becomes second nature. We associate with it and falsely take it as a part of who we are. It’s about braking that habit.  It is about redirect it. Focusing on what makes you smile as soon as your caught. Braking habits should be a fun process because you will now start reminding yourself one by one on what really does make you smile. It will be tough in the beginning like anything we try for the first time but eventually a momentum will start building and it will only get easier and soon enough the things you do want will be crystal clear. See it as a game at start, see it as trying to brake your record of Nokia’ s famous Snake game And importantly Recognize and be proud on the days you do.

Here is one strategy;  keep checking your thought when in conversations, alone or while your concentrated on a task. These thoughts might feel like a train going at full speed. When you catch yourself gently bring the momentum down, instead of radically switching from negative to positive emotions and then getting frustrated when the attempts are not as you’d hoped. Second, let it flow, gently bring the momentum down by respecting and acknowledging your thoughts and feelings. Because those are the thoughts that will guide you towards the ones you want to have and feel. Remember, to every negative thought and/or emotion there is its Opposite hidden between the lines. And from there, start bringing the momentum up towards those beautiful sensations, feelings or images that make you feel good by, as Abraham-Hicks would put it, rampaging your mind with positivity. I think of a sunset when I catch myself with lower vibrational thoughts or start thinking random words towards the way I do want to feel such as, fun, flow, ease, peace, connected, centered, aware…. the list goes on. Until a momentum has lifted off. Now your in control of your mind and where you want it to lead you.

The next is forgive yourself always and for everything. Regardless of the consequences. Over thinking, worrying and holding resentments just takes away time for finding solutions and moving forward. Take it upon yourself to know that there is nothing wrong with making mistakes it’s part of our growth and there are things that are just out of our control and that is ok. It’s what keeps us on our toes, makes life interesting, helps build our creativity but importantly helps us to see through the fog between our wants and need to identify what we truly desire.

It’s all about the journey not the destination. We can choose to face the hardship of going against the heavy stream of life or ride along with it and enjoy every single moment and learn from every wave and bumps we come across. Remember, everything we go through shall pass… eventually, when you let it

Have an exilarating week filled with growth and lessons learned you Beautiful and Incredible Souls.

Be Free

Letting go is never easy. It’s something I didn’t understand; I still get confused at times. Its only when you start letting go that you realize how much there is to let go. There are so many things that do not serve us anymore but that we still hold on too. Whether it’s a passed relationship, images of past, present and future endeavours of what has, could haves, or might bes. Relationships that hinder our growth, foods and addictions we push our bodies to consume despite the after math, How people think about us; family as much, if not more, then none members. We go to the point of altering our self-image and self-worth as deep as the subconscious level just to accommodate to biased opinions imposed on us by individuals that think they know best. We respond to these out of fears of being judged and most common of then all, fear of loosing the most desired emotion; Love….

And it is there the art of Conditional Love is born. We hide not or impose, not to offend or to validate our feelings. We let our mind consume us, impose our expectations and desired conditions or we tuck ourselves away until we can’t handle it anymore. Then it comes down too, who’s feelings should be prioritized. We are all here on a journey and part of that journey is to strip away all that no longer serves us including some deep ingrained foundations that our lives are build on. In other words letting go.
If we kept these self deprecating foundation women still would not have the right to vote, Gandhi wouldn’t be Gandhi as we know him now and all these amazing stories about people pushing boundaries physically, mentally and spiritually would just be myths.

Letting go is respecting yourself enough to know that holding on will bring nothing. It will only take away your power of loving. Letting go is honouring who we truly are and who we truly are is not defined by the limits we let ourselves or others impose on us. Letting go is freeing yourself.

Enjoy this beautiful and blessed rainy day. Let it wash away all that no longer serve you.

L3 Challenge Day #8: Honor your Being

#HonorYourBeing #Day8 #challenge

#Challenge8: Honor your Being

Ok so the challenge isn’t over quite yet . This one is the most important off them all; Honor your hard work. And this goes for the theme of this week as well regardless if you’ve attempted the challenge or not. Because I’m sure their are challenges of your own you have to be proud of.

First, stop and reflect on your experience. What did you like about it? What part was the most challenging? How did you feel? Did you awaken any fears? Which ones?

Now thank every single cell in your body for being a part and pushing threw. We tend to forget that every single cell is just as alive as its whole. Dr. Masuru Emoto demonstrates how powerful sending love can be with his research on water. And considering we are composed of over 60% water that statement means a lot. This challenge was not an easy one, especially considering it was unexpected. Just reading and the simple thought of attempting it is already one step closer to achievement. A seed is planted in the subconscious mind, waiting to be fertilized and nurtured. And remember to thank every single obstacle as well because they are what moves us forward. The discomfort of our obstacles or situations is what makes us want to look into or do something about it. Its like the caterpillar pushing her wings out of her cocoon so as to brake free.

Third, Forgive yourself for any action you deemed wrong for there is nothing wrong with trying. Challenges are here to help us gauge our likes and dislike and in return help us find ourselves. With practice our reactions to situations will turn into responses and just like Alchemy, you will be turning metal into gold soon enough. Leadership is simply a question of confidence and believing in yourself. Trust and believe in yourself enough to know that you can achieve anything you desire.

Honor your Being and all its hard work just for this week. And remember to trust and believe that you are moving forward because you are.

L3 Challenge Day #7: Let your curiosity get the best of you <3

#Challenge7: Let your curiosity get the best of you.

1- #JustForToday: I will Visualize who I want to be.
Keep visualizing ! What images makes you feel the best inside?

2- #JustForToday: I will Calm down mind chatter.
“Just for today , I will not take anything personally. I will control my mind instead of it controlling me. I will be worry free and I will turn my negatives into positives.”

3- #JustForToday: I will Commit.
My commitments shape who I am. Who am I?

4- #JustForToday: I will Do something for myself.
I’m important too.

5- #JustForToday: I will Think as if no one is coming to save me.
I’m am powerful.

6- #JustForToday: I will take a risk.
I will step out of my comfort zone just for today.

7- #JustForToday: My curiosity will get the best of me.
We forget how precious curiosity is. We think it’s just for the young Souls. In reality it’s what keeps our souls young. Without curiosity none of what we have would have come to existence. Behind every idea, there was the enchantment of what if? Before any great self-discovery the constant questionings of Our reality and the reality of other were essential and so the funnest part. Just for today act like a child and question Everything that sparks your spirit’s of interest.

L3 Challenge Day #6: Take risks

#Challenge6: Take risks

1- #JustForToday: I will Visualize who I want to be.
Who would your ultimate self be.

2- #JustForToday: I will Calm down mind chatter.
“Just for today , I will not take anything personally. I will control my mind instead of it controlling me. I will be worry free and I will turn my negatives into positives.”

3- #JustForToday: I will Commit.
Push this little further now. Commit to doing 2 things that bring you closer to your higher self.

4- #JustForToday: I will Do something for myself.
Do something that makes you feel happy. This helps us reconnect with ourselves. And in return helps us reconnect with the higher beings we are.

5- #JustForToday: I will Think as if no one is coming to save me.
Take back your power.

6- #JustForToday: I will take a risk.
Taking risks is a skill. And a true leader is in constant search of mastering it. They understand that it’s essential for the growth of any project or goal, it’s that drop, a.k.a. that risk, that institutes the tipping point of Success . They master it by calculating and acting on them. It’s hard sometimes because fear comes creeping in, trying to discredit the incredible beings we are and the incredible powers we posses. Just for today take a risk. Weither it is responding and or exploring certain curiosities, expressing concerns that have been weighing your heart or simply trying something new. The results might not be the ones you expect and that is ok because that’s how we learn. Through exploration we start to understand what we want, what we don’t want, how we want it and what we are prepared to give or to loss to certain experiences. This takes us even deeper in the finding out who we are and the risks we choose to make gets us close to the person we want to be ❤ So just for today take a risk, have fun and reflect on your experience.

L3 Challenge Day 5: Think as if no one is coming to save you..

#Challenge5: Think as if no one is coming to save you.

1-#JustForToday: Visualize who you want to be.
If you are still having trouble with this, It’s ok, give yourself an alter ego Whatever empowers your Being. A friend calls herself Sasha Fierce!

2- #JustForToday: Calm down mind chatter.
This takes practice just remember that practice makes perfect. There is only two more days to go.

3- #JustForToday: Commit.
Be the example.

4- #JustForToday: Do something for yourself.
Remember to give some time for yourself, you deserve it.

5- #JustForToday: Think as if no one is coming to save you.
We are not here to be saved. Having this mind set gives us the opportunity to take back our power, to be our own hero. We are all connected but ultimately the best thing we can do for ourselves is believe in ourselves. Xx

L3 Challenge Day 4: Do something for yourself

#Challenge4: Do something for yourself and turn it into a ritual

1-#JustForToday: Visualize the person you want to be.
If you are still having trouble doing this, I know I am, try thinking of all the individuals whom have inspired you so far. What about them inspire you towards this person you know, or at least your subconscious knows, is inside? That person who has done, said or dared things you have only thought of and have always wanted to explore. The friend that stood their ground or the performer that killed it on stage. Our feelings, intuition, is your compass**.

2- #JustForToday: Calm down mind chatter.
Just for today stick with calming down mind chatter. It’s the hardest one but with the most substantial results. You are doing awesome, keep it up!

3- #JustForToday: Commit.
Commit to integrity. Just for today, do one thing that is in alignment with the being you want to be. Be the example

4- #JustForToday: Do something for yourself and turn it into a ritual.
Just for today, take 5 min, at least, for yourself. You deserve your own attention as much as the next. Yes I am once again putting a great amount of emphasis in regards to this! Do something that makes you feel good about yourself and relaxed. This challenge is to an extra importance this time because it is used in reconnecting with ourselves and reconnecting with ourselves is, as already mentioned, leadership 101. We can’t lead if we don’t know where we are leading too.

We know where we are leading too, when we know who we are.

We know who we are, when we have found ourself.

And we find our higher self, when we are responding in accordance with the greater good for ourself and for all.

The greatest Love of them all. Take this time for yourself and turn it as a ritual, make it sacred part of your day. It’s important. So just for today, take that 5 mins for yourself and sit alone on the stairs in front of your office. Or get that 5$ iced caramel frappuccino your crazing so much and enjoy every sip. Go for that jog, put on that mascara and or eyeliner your didn’t have time to put on this morning.

**Refer to week 5 blog 12

L3 Challenge Day #3: Commit

#Commit #BabyShower #DanBarnes #GardenParty #Day3

#Challenge3: Commit

1- #JustForToday: Visualize the person you want to be.
If you still have trouble with this brake it down. Think of what kind of daughter, son, entrepreneur, teacher, mother, Lover, the kind of boss you want to be or become. Your highest self is the person that make you feel the happiest inside.

2- #JustForToday: Monitor mind chatter.
Thoughts are like seeds planted in the mind. We decide the kind of fertilizer we use. When something is repeated long enough it becomes, something psychologist like to say, the self fulling prophecy. If we constantly bombard our mind with unrealistic thoughts of negativity we self sabotage ourself. We bring our vibrational level down and in consequence attract these things or misfortune. Misfortune is in the eye of the beholder. When your better able to control your mind you’ll be able to see and even transforme misfortunes into opportunity.

3- #JustForToday: Commit
Its easy to get distracted and never finish any projects or goals we set out. A leader is able to set himself or herself a mission and plan accordingly. They do not wait around for anyone to assign them one either. They challenge themselves constantly and stick to it. This helps them build confidence, determination and integrity. Just for today set yourself a goal. The smaller the better. It could be as simple as doing the laundry. Committing to go to that yoga class. Making someone smile. Making that rude barista at your usual coffee shop feel amazing and appreciated. Commit to just one thing today and stick to it. Importantly be proud when you’ve achieved it. I even encourage you to start recording them so as to go back and remind yourself of your achievements.
